Our human universe is made of stories
Stories to connect, inspire and transform
Stories tell. They tell about danger, hope, adversity, love, courage, pain, healing… and everything known to us humans. They take the shape of monsters, fairies and heroes. Stories let us wander into the dark woods and deep oceans in order to find our own strenghts and weeknesses. The wisdom of ages exists in the fairytales, folktales, legends and myths we all grew up with.
Storytelling is what is known as a human universal. For thousands of years it has been the way we share our life lessons and adventures. Some stories have become old legends and myths. Till today, storytelling builds bridges between people and cultures, between past and future and it connects us at an emotional level with each other.
This is why I tell the stories that are close to my heart.

If you’d be in Romania now, or in any other Orthodox country, and the restaurants would all just be open (no covid-19 making a mess) you would find yourself in vegan paradise. Especially in a country like Romania, where eating meat is almost a religion in itself, the...
Happy Easter, if you celebrated it today! I did. For more than 30 years I have the pleasure of celebrating Easter twice. Coming from Romania and living in The Netherlands usually gives me two Easters: An Orthodox and a Catholic/Protestant one. Each one of them have...

My own story
For as long as I can remember I have been deeply connected with stories and their magical world. As a child I would beg my grand mother for one more story about her childhood, I would listen endlessly to stories on records and on my library pass I got storybooks from all corners of the world.
I love being in nature, the smell of treas and seeing how the changing of seasons is most notable in their crowns. My parents gave me as a middle name the old fashioned Romanian name “Codruta”. Which freely traslates as “girl of the forest”. I can feel how this is no coincidance.
I like capturing little moments in photographs. I like the feeling of paper and the way a fountain pen moves. I love dancing and music. I like what the rhythm of the seasons is giving us. And I love how our ancestors gave meaning and powers to gods, stars and spirits creating fantastic stories and archetypes that are still valid till today.
Now I am a storyteller, but I first had to go through my own hero’s journey to finally embrace my own story. And with that, to embrace and use the healing power of stories, folktales and myths by sharing them with everyone around me. What inspired me? Please read here my extended story.
